Ann, Does your son use Read,Write& Type (RWT)? If not how is his touch typing skill? I gave RWT to granddaughter Jaclyn when she was six. She loves to read and was reading at 12th grade level in 5th grade. She has perfect touch typing skills, always looks at the screen, and never looks down at the keyboard, typing about 100 WPM.

Not terribly worried about my kids reading....in any form. Playing on the computer is WAY different than my 7 year old borrowing my Kindle (which he LOVES to do!).
Love any technology that encourage children to love to read :)
